About: Commenting

What with switching to WordPress, some of my loyal readers/commenters may notice something a bit different when they go to leave their two cents:

There is no “anonymous” function… per se.

I gather this is just a feature of WordPress, and I hope it doesn’t discourage people from commenting. I love your feedback, I honestly do. Without, it’s kind of like I’m just sitting here typing away to myself. And you know what they say about people who talk/type to themselves.

It’s not very nice, whatever it is.

So a couple of things:

1. You don’t HAVE to use your real name. Pseudonyms are fine.
2. WordPress DOES require an email address. If you insist on making this up, fine. Be my guest. But I promise you the addresses don’t get published. I looked into it.
3. If you find my post or opinions controversial, PLEASE don’t be rude. Treat my blog with the same respect you would expect on your own, or if you don’t have your own, at least among your own friends/acquaintances.
4. If you are interested in keeping up with the discussion of the post you commented on, there’s a little check-box at the bottom underneath the comment form.
